Artist Bio

Michele Hogan

Michele Hogan is an oil painter in Austin, Texas. She attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston and the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She also attended the Parsons School of Design in New York. She began her university studies at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and then returned to Texas where she earned her bachelor's degree in Studio Art at the University of Texas at Austin. While having worked in a variety of media, she currently paints in oil. Pairing classical techniques with contemporary subject matter, she explores the narrative qualities of still life.
